The growth investment is one of the larger private equity checks into Indian healthcare manufacturing this year, though the resulting ownership structure is not yet disclosed.
Kedaara Capital has announced a 200 million dollar strategic investment in Tynor Orthotics, an Indian orthopedic support and rehabilitation brand.
The company has not disclosed whether the investment represents new growth capital, a purchase of existing shareholders' stakes, or some combination of both. Kedaara's resulting ownership stake is also not yet public.
The size of the check makes the transaction a notable bet on Indian healthcare and consumer manufacturing. It also adds to a wider run of private equity activity across Asian healthcare assets, a segment where sponsors continue to find opportunities for growth investment and secondary ownership changes even as fundraising conditions vary across the region.
