SpaceX said its AI unit brought in more than half of its quarterly revenue. Super Micro put its quarter about $4 billion above its own guidance. Getty filed a prepackaged bankruptcy that takes it private.

MARKET PULSE

AI sellers posted bigger numbers overnight, and Netflix trimmed its outlook.

Nasdaq 100 futures were up about 0.6% at 7:16 a.m. S&P 500 futures rose about 0.2%.

SpaceX (SPCX) said third-quarter revenue rose 161% to $14.58 billion. Its Super Intelligence unit supplied $7.56 billion of that. Net income was $4.4 billion, against a loss a year earlier.

Finance chief Bret Johnsen put this quarter's capital spending at $35 billion to $40 billion, CNBC reported.

Super Micro (SMCI) estimated its quarter's revenue at $18.5 billion to $19.5 billion. It had guided to $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion, so the midpoint is about $4 billion higher.

It cited AI demand and called the figures preliminary. The stock was up about 11% at 7:16 a.m.

Netflix (NFLX) earned 87 cents a share, above its own forecast. It cut its 2026 ad revenue outlook to about $2.7 billion from $3 billion. Shares were indicated nearly 7% lower.

Spending Became Sales

The AI build-out is now showing up on both sides of the ledger. SpaceX's AI unit supplied more than half its revenue, and it plans tens of billions of spending this quarter. Super Micro, citing AI demand, put its quarter about $4 billion above its own guidance. At SpaceX and Super Micro, spending plans and sales are rising together.

Brent climbed back above $110 overnight, and a bet on an early end to the Iran blockade slipped.

Brent was near $110.20 at 7:16 a.m., up about 1.3% from Tuesday's $108.79 settlement.

Iran told Pakistan's army chief, a mediator, that talks with Washington must wait until its demands are met. Iranian media reported the message Tuesday, according to Reuters.

The demands include ending the U.S. blockade of Iran's ports and lifting oil sanctions, Reuters said.

A Polymarket contract pays if the U.S. announces the blockade's end by Oct. 31. It traded at 8.5 cents early Wednesday, down from 10.5 cents Tuesday afternoon.

A Visit, Not a Deal

Mediation makes headlines, but it has not yet moved barrels. Brent settled lower on Tuesday, then rose above $110 overnight. The October blockade contract lost about a fifth of its price since Tuesday afternoon. Traders price the blockade to outlast this month.

MACRO

British inflation ran faster than forecast, and services prices sped up with it.

U.K. consumer prices rose 3.5% in the year to September, up from 3.1% in August. The median forecast in a Reuters poll was 3.4%.

Services inflation rose to 3.7% from 3.4%, and the core rate rose to 2.8% from 2.6%. Motor fuel prices were up 29.8% from a year earlier.

Air fares and other transport services did the most to lift services inflation.

A tenth-of-a-point beat on British pay removed one argument for waiting. Regular pay rose 3.7% in the three months to August, Tuesday's data showed. A Reuters poll had a 3.6% median.

Markets price a quarter-point Bank of England hike, to 4%, on Nov. 5.

In the U.S., the 10-year Treasury yield ended Tuesday at 5.12%. Kalshi's October Fed hike contract last traded at 11 cents at 4:36 a.m.

The Shock Left the Pump

Britain's energy shock is no longer only about fuel. Services inflation and the core rate both rose in September, alongside a 29.8% jump in motor fuel. Pay growth, out a day earlier, also came in above forecast. A November hike now has wage and services evidence behind it, not only fuel.

Getty is going private through bankruptcy court, and an Australian credit fund froze.

Getty Images said Wednesday it had begun prepackaged Chapter 11 proceedings in Delaware. Getty family members and Koch affiliates will invest up to $533 million in equity.

They would own all of the reorganized company, and existing shares would get nothing, Getty said. It expects to finish by year-end.

Australia's MA Financial suspended applications and redemptions in a real estate credit fund. In August it had capped redemptions at 1% of assets a month.

It cited a weaker housing market that is slowing asset sales and refinancings. Its corporate and asset-backed lending is performing, it said.

The Exit Got Repriced

The way out of an investment is being rewritten. Getty's new investors would own all of it, and public holders get nothing. MA Financial went from a 1% monthly cap in August to a full freeze. Holders counting on a market price or a redemption window got neither.

Solana's consensus switch is due around the U.S. open, and Fidelity tallied the preferred-stock bid.

Bitcoin traded near $83,300 at 7:16 a.m., and ether was near $2,460.

Solana is set to switch its consensus system on Wednesday. Epoch 1064, which turns on Alpenglow, is expected to start at about 9:20 a.m. Eastern, according to the Solana Foundation.

The foundation calls the time an estimate. The old voting system then runs about 18 more minutes before Alpenglow takes over. Developer Anza has pointed to about 10 a.m.

Fidelity Digital Assets published a tally on Tuesday. Bitcoin preferreds had financed purchases of more than 135,000 coins through Oct. 5, it said.

That is about 15% of the 888,185 bitcoin U.S. spot funds gathered in their first year. The model works only if bitcoin outpaces the dividend cost, Fidelity said.

Strive's bitcoin treasury is now funding itself at about 17%. Strive (ASST) closed a $630 million sale of 15% SATS preferred at $90 a share on Tuesday. The shares traded near $86.98 that afternoon.

The Hurdle Rose

Preferred stock has become a real source of bitcoin buying, and a costlier one. Fidelity counts more than 135,000 coins financed that way. Strive's newest preferred yields about 17% at its offer price. Each new raise needs bitcoin to outrun a higher dividend. The bid is still there, at a higher price.
