The XRP treasury company named four execution partners and said deployment will begin in the fourth quarter. It did not disclose target yields or how much of the treasury will be committed, and the agreements still face closing conditions.
Evernorth Holdings wants investors to see it as more than a vault for XRP. On the day it was scheduled to ring Nasdaq's closing bell, it laid out how it plans to make the tokens work.
The company said Wednesday that it will "both accumulate and deploy from its 473 million XRP treasury into institutional strategies beginning in the fourth quarter of 2026." Its inaugural execution partners are Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase and BitGo.
"We're putting our treasury to work," Chief Executive Asheesh Birla said.
How it will work
Evernorth described a phased approach led by Chief Investment Officer Hugo Jeandesboz, a former Coinbase asset management executive. The first phase uses strategies that can be executed today with established counterparties. Later phases will expand as financial infrastructure on the XRP Ledger matures.
The announcement stopped short of numbers. It did not say what share of the treasury will be deployed, what returns it targets or what risk limits will apply. It also noted that "any and all partnership agreements remain subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, and the receipt of any required regulatory and corporate approvals."
At about $1.33 per XRP on Wednesday afternoon, the treasury was worth roughly $629 million.
The stock
Shares fell about 7.2% to $15.30 by about 1:50 p.m. Eastern, after trading between $14.01 and $15.79. XRP itself was down about 3% on a broadly weak day for crypto. XRP is now about 7% below the $1.43069 reference price used to set share counts for investors when the merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II closed.
Why deployment changes the risk
Digital asset treasury companies have mostly followed Strategy's model: raise money, buy a token, hold it and try to grow holdings per share. Evernorth is promising something different, earning a return on the tokens themselves.
That would give it a lever beyond issuing stock, which has been the main tool for bitcoin treasury companies. It also introduces exposures that a passive holder avoids. Lending or deploying tokens through counterparties adds credit and operational risk to a balance sheet concentrated in a single asset.
Market implications
The case for the plan is that it gives Evernorth a way to grow XRP per share without depending solely on stock issuance, using large, regulated partners. The case for caution is that investors have no figures yet on size, return or risk. The stock fell on a day when crypto shares broadly declined.
What to watch
The first disclosure of deployed amounts and returns, completion of the partner agreements, and an updated share count, which will let investors track XRP per share.
