AMD Hits $1 Trillion | Bitcoin ETFs Pull In $1 Billion | Oil Falls on Iran Deal Talk | Fed Speakers Land Today

AMD crossed $1 trillion as the Nasdaq hit a record, while Bitcoin ETFs drew $999 million and BTC held above $85,000. Brent fell below $100 on Iran deal hopes as three Fed speakers prepare to test the rally today.

MARKET PULSE

Monday restarted the AI trade. Tuesday tested it.

The Nasdaq jumped to a record. AMD surged nearly 10% to $615.52 and crossed $1 trillion in market value for the first time. Arm (ARM) gained 17% and Intel (INTC) rose 12%.

The catalyst was Meta’s (META) Muse AI agent, which reached the top of Apple’s free App Store chart. Investors treated its early growth as another signal that AI demand is moving from training models toward running consumer agents at scale.

That trade cooled Tuesday. Wednesday futures are mixed, with Nasdaq-100 futures up about 0.8%, S&P 500 futures slightly lower and Dow futures down 0.4%. The 10-year Treasury yield sits near 4.97%.

Cintas (CTAS), Paychex (PAYX) and General Mills (GIS) report today.

The Signal

AI pushed AMD through $1 trillion. Now rates become the test. Three Fed speakers today decide whether the 5% Treasury ceiling returns.

Premier Feature

In January, Gold Touched Nearly $5,600 an Ounce. Today It's Around $4,100.

So the story's over, right?

Then explain this.

The metal is still leaving the vaults. Physical deliveries still running at levels the exchange rarely processed before. Central banks still buying. Dealers charging 30-40% premiums over paper price for real coins.

When price falls but physical demand doesn't — only one of those two is telling the truth.

The paper market sets the price. The physical market sets the deadline.

Anyone who wished they'd bought miners before January's run just got handed the entry back.

One company I've been tracking controls an 88 million ounce deposit — trading near $4 billion. About 1% of the value of its metal in the ground.

That gap is the whole opportunity.

ENERGY

Oil has fallen for five straight sessions as diplomacy replaces some of the war premium.

Brent settled near $99.25 Tuesday, its lowest close in two weeks. WTI finished at $94.59. Brent started the week near $101.67 and has now fallen more than 4% over five sessions. Both trade lower today.

President Trump told the UN that he expects an Iran deal after the election. Iran has also proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if the U.S. lifts its blockade of Iranian ports.

Saudi Arabia is preparing to restart its East-West pipeline after this month’s drone damage, adding another route around Hormuz.

None of those steps is a final deal. Shipping, insurance and physical energy flows will take longer to normalize even if diplomacy moves forward.

Energy Signal

Oil is below $100 because the path toward a deal is clearer. The market is pricing diplomacy before the physical system has fully healed.

MACRO

Today belongs to the Fed.

Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin said Tuesday that last week’s hike should help restore price stability but stopped short of calling for another move. He warned that supply shocks are becoming persistent rather than temporary.

More than 60% of the PCE basket was running above 3% year over year in July.

New York Fed President John Williams speaks at 10:05 a.m. ET. Fed Vice Chair Philip Jefferson follows at 10:20 a.m., with Barkin speaking again at 1 p.m.

Goldman Sachs now sees the first rate cut in June 2027. BNP Paribas expects another hiking cycle to begin in December.

The 10-year yield has risen roughly 70 basis points since the Iran war began, while the dollar index sits near 100.5.

Macro Signal

Oil is helping inflation at the margin. The Fed still sees broad price pressure. Today’s speakers decide whether markets should keep treating 5% as the ceiling or the new base.

CAPITAL

AMD’s $1 trillion move is about more than one stock.

AI agents run long chains of tasks, increasing demand for CPUs, memory and inference hardware alongside GPUs. That helps explain why AMD, Arm and Intel moved together when Muse climbed the App Store.

Meta is AMD’s second-largest customer at roughly 5.5% of revenue. The companies also have an agreement covering up to 6 gigawatts of AMD Instinct GPU deployments, with the first gigawatt expected in the second half of 2026.

The broader demand signal is strong. South Korean semiconductor exports jumped 259% year over year during the first 20 days of September.

Coinbase (COIN) is expanding capital markets in another direction. It launched fixed-rate USDC loans backed by wrapped Bitcoin and is also pushing further into stock-linked products.

Capital Signal

Consumer AI is starting to validate the infrastructure build. The next question is whether earnings can support the valuations now attached to that demand.

CRYPTO PULSE

Bitcoin’s recovery has real flows behind it.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $999 million Monday, their largest daily inflow since October 2025. BlackRock’s IBIT led with $381 million, Ark and 21Shares’ ARKB added $289 million, and Fidelity’s FBTC brought in $239 million.

Ethereum ETFs added another $270 million, also their strongest day since October.

Bitcoin briefly reached $87,300 before easing toward $86,400. The move followed a break above $82,000, which had capped Bitcoin for weeks. Nearly $844 million in short positions were cleared during the rally.

The infrastructure story moved just as quickly.

Binance invested $100 million in Circle (CRCL), buying about 1.24 million shares at $80.84 each. The companies also signed a five-year deal to expand USDC across Binance’s roughly 300 million users.

SoFi (SOFI) and Mastercard (MA) also launched stablecoin settlement across SoFi Bank’s card program using SoFiUSD. The program is expected to process more than $25 billion in annual volume.

Regulators are moving too. CFTC Chair Michael Selig said U.S. markets must prepare for mass tokenization and 24/7 trading. That follows the SEC’s exemption allowing some tokenized U.S. equities to trade onchain.

CLARITY failed in Congress. The SEC and CFTC are building around it.

The Verdict

Bitcoin is above $85,000 after nearly $1 billion entered ETFs in one day. At the same time, stablecoins are moving into bank settlement and regulators are opening markets to tokenization.

CLOSING LENS

Wednesday comes down to one number: 5%.

Oil below $100 has eased one inflation pressure. The 10-year remains near 4.97%. Bitcoin holds above $85,000, while AI stocks are testing record valuations.

The Fed decides whether those trades can coexist.

Williams, Jefferson and Barkin speak today. If they reinforce the case for more hikes, both AI and crypto face another rate test. If they sound patient, Monday’s momentum has room to continue.

Underneath that macro trade, the structure keeps changing.

AMD crossed $1 trillion. Bitcoin ETFs took in $999 million. SoFi moved stablecoins into live card settlement. The CFTC is preparing for 24/7 markets.

Oil is falling.

Capital is still moving.

Today, the Fed decides how expensive that movement becomes.

3 STOCKS OUR SIGNAL ENGINE SAYS TO WATCH CAREFULLY

Three stocks. Three signals. Two weeks later, the story changed.

On September 2, we published three market questions around KLAC, HPE and PG&E.
Two weeks later, every one of them produced new evidence.

One company delivered record revenue and raised its outlook.
Another saw weakness spread across its entire peer group.
And in the third, a market risk that had only been showing up beneath the surface suddenly became explicit.
Yet none of these stories is finished.

That’s why we built Market Tell.
To track the signals that keep moving after the headline is gone — and show you what investors should be watching next.
